$14 from Sephora for a mere 5ml, that’s $2.80 per ml. I just saw it at the counter and grab it. Not sure what I was thinking. Probably was along the line that I haven’t try this brand before, so I should. Anyway, it’s a no oil oil for fine hair. It’s supposed to volumise the hair. I’m still scared that this will turn my hair oily. But it’s not as bad, so whether I use this or not, there’s not much difference.
This is to be used on towel dried hair, which is really nice. It doesn’t feel oily. I like it cause it gives my hair a very smoothed, proper look. I usually came out of the shower, used a hair tonic then comb through it. I don’t bother with hair blowing. So I always naturally dry the hair. Depending on how I comb through, my hair look different. While most of the time it looks natural, more often than not, it appear unkept.
With this, my hair always look good. It’s just so smooth and healthy looking. It’s also not as flat. In term of volume, it doesn’t do that much, but it’s good this way, cause it’s more natural. So yes, I do think this is worth the money. Cause all you need is just two pump and that doesn’t take 1ml.
I have here 3 Kreastase Elixir Ultime deluxe samples. Mot exactly deluxe as each sample is 3ml. These are beautifying scented oily that can be used on wet or dry hair. These are made in Spain and the samples are cute as they are small and you only need one or two pumps of oil. In this case is just drops.
The purple one is Oleo-Complexe + Rose Millenaire which is for fine and sensitized hair. To protect and nourish hair making them look shiny and smooth with a lightweight touch, feeling rejuvenated. The scent is nice, quite perfumy. More flower like scent.
The pink one is Oleo-Complexe + The Imperial which is for colour treated hair. The imperial is basically with imperial tea extract. Also the same to protect and nourish, look radiant and glossy with a sensual softness. This has a light scent. A different kind of perfume scent. It is not so strong, and it seems to fade, but eventually it lingers on. Like it takes time for the scent to show through.
The green one is Oleo-Complexe + Moringa Immortel which is for damanged hair. This is to make hair more conditioned, looking smooth and soft to the touch. The scent is kind of like baby oil, but the good smelling one. Like a clean fresh scent. Not a strong scent too.
So only the pink one has the strongest scent. The other two is more subtle. The green one even less. So if i just want to smell naturally beautiful, the purple one will be nice. But the pink one will really makes your hair smells really good. The product themselves are good but I dont really see a difference between them.
As oil products, they are greasy. Only on the hands when applying them. I use two taps, rub my hands together and run theough my hair. Then I will rub the strains together. It helps to smoothen hair and makes combing easier. I do like it, or them. I can’t really decide as I do like them all. But i will probably use the pink one more often if I were to have them all in full size. Cause I don’t have coloured hair and they are not that damaged.
It can be applied through the length and on the ends of wet or dry hair, so that’s convenient. Plus it can be use 4 ways:
– Before shampoo for a nourished feel
– As a masque for a conditioning treat
– Before styling to protect hair
– As a finishing touch for sumptuously soft feel and shine
I got these samples from UK magazines and beauty boxes. So the name of the product is different which is interesting. And one is made in China and the other is Germany.
I don’t know why bother using hair oil at all, but I try. Mostly I only use it as a finishing touch. It really does make my hair soft and shiny. A good shine not oily shine. Every time I use this it feels that I put a lot of effort in styling my hair. When all I did was take 2 drops, rub onto my hands and transfer to my hair. It is awesome. I love hair oil.
It makes my hair smells good too. Even though it doesn’t have a specific scent but it is just nice. I even think it is scentless. Oh the best part, it makes my hand feels really soft. Well it does look greasy, but it is not sticky. So yes I would buy the full size. Even if its uses is just to make my hair looks good.
I heard of Black Box a long time ago, and I signed up for it. But I don’t really know how it worked. Cause some people actually managed to get this free box, and I wanted one too. Last month they emailed us saying how their website has change and you can ballot for a free box. You can secure a free box just by paying for $6 shipping. They only had 500 boxes for that.
I wasn’t very interested in the October box when I saw the participating brands. So I wouldn’t pay $6 for it. But I did try to ballot for it. I did not know I was successful as all I did was click the link and put my email address and they told me I am eligible for balloting. Then I had to log in but I did not know my password and I’m just lazy to check my email.
Anyway there was another email saying everything was sold out and 1500 boxes were successfully given out to the winners. A few days later I got an email saying my box will be sent to me between a certain time. It was like winning a lottery. How awesome!
So this is the box. Sorry for the longwinded story, but that’s practically how Black Box work. If you’re in Singapore, just sign up, try your luck. The next one is for December box, but the balloting has not start? I am not sure. I only got the email for securing the box.
So far, all I did was do a short survey online after I got the box to win full-sized products. That’s it. They never ask you to do anything, not even ask you to refer to friends. But good things must be shared right? And it’s unisex, so it’s really for everyone. Then again it’s free. You can always pass it to anyone of you don’t like it.
So I received a card with the description of the product like where to buy, how to use and also some discount coupons. Lovemore Snailmucin Repairing Eye Patch.
VDL CC Cream has SPF 25. Have not try this yet, but it’s great to have for upcoming mini vacations.
Bifesta Cleansing Lotion (sebum) is a really cool product. It’s a makeup remover and cleanser at the same time. You don’t need to wash your face after using this. Just rinse it if you want. A product after my own heart. The samples come with cotton pads, but I think the full size is just the lotion.
Darlie Enamel Protect Toothpaste who doesn’t love free toothpaste? It’s a travel size which probably cost $2 if you buy from Watsons.
Zappy Sampler Pack now this is cool.
Look at that, it’s all in wipes form and it has different type of purpose. I like the sunscreen one. How cool to use sunscreen with a wipe. It’s just so easy and unique. Plus it’s SPF50. I also like the insect repellent and well everything. Cause it’s all really useful to me. Per pack will cost around $2 – $5.50 and different type of wipes will contain different quantity. But I really think Zappy is really neat. Love it. Great to have for traveling or on the go.
Lastly, I got Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Oil which is a multi-purpose dry oil. I haven’t have this so it’s nice to get it. It can be use for the face, body or hair. This is shimmery which I think will be nice to use for parties while keeping your skin moisturized. I have an idea, put it all over your body and you can be the Cullen for Halloween, even though it’s over but I only think of it. Anyway, I like to put this at the ends of my hair to give them an extra sparkle. It doesn’t has a scent or anything though.
