Not sure if all Estée Lauder cream smell the smell, but the scent is exactly like the resilience lift day cream. This is also quite on the thin side. So it’s quite easy to blend into the skin. While it’s a nice small sample size, it’s meant for traveling but I feel that it’s so hard to used up. The more you use the more you have to dig into the tub. So as always, it’s not my fav kind of packaging. The cream itself is just so so. I don’t see much difference using this. It’s also not something I will keep grabbing. So a bit waste of money. And for someone who love scented product, this can be a bit sickening for me. Therefore this is not good for anyone who are sensitive to scent.
A deeply replenishing night treatment is a very thick cream. So thick, that it is so hard to apply to the face. The direction say to use just a pea size and warm it up with fingertips the spread out on to face. It definitely is much easier. It feels nice too. Just still a bit sticky, and looks oily. Surprisingly, it doesn’t look oily in the morning. Quite impress with this. But I wouldn’t buy the full size.
When it comes to Christmas or birthdays, my mind comes to The Body Shop. TBS has so much gift sets at different price point. It’s easy to find a gift for practically anyone. I have tried a lot of TBS products, some I had already reviewed in this blog, and I still have more that I have not. I am not being paid for promoting TBS nor am I working for them, but I think it’s just a great place. They have makeup too, but I have not personally try them out. I just think its affordable to get anything from there. Even though it can be boring getting another TBS item, but it’s something that can actually be use.
Here, I have the seaweed travel set. This comes with a cleanser, toner, moisturizer and night cream. The seaweed series is for people with oily skin. I like that it’s travel size, I like that I can sample the range, but I don’t know if it’s cheaper to get the original size and divide accordingly or this whole set.
Anyway, upon trying, I was so taken aback by the scent. It’s just horrible. I don’t like it. Other than that, it’s actually very soothing for my skin. It helps to control the oil for a bit. I mean some people swear by it, especially the toner which is their best selling product. But I just can’t stand it. I would like it better if its not for the scent.
But overall it’s ok. Especially for traveling. It’s just nice, as it comes with the bag. It’s not packed too, so I can put in travel serum and eye cream. One bag for skin care and I’m good to go. And the color is kind of my fav, even though its kind of muted. So I suggest you take a sniff from the samples and see if you actually will like this range.
My first thought was ugh! I do not like the scent. It’s a bit better than Indio night cream, but still just make me want to gag. At least after putting this on, I can use a hand cream to counter the smell. For Indio, it doesn’t help. This is light, watery but when you blend it gets thicker. Moisturizing but makes my face looks oily. When I wake up, it seems to have absorb into the skin. Only my nose area felt oily. Unfortunately this break me out, around the forehead, so that’s two strikes. Nevertheless it’s still out.
Night moisturizer is light but make my face very hydrated. It has a dewy finish. Well more of a dewy. Almost oily, but barely. I was sleeping in an air condition room for the whole night. In the morning my face is surprisingly not oily. It seems that the moisture is being absorb or taken away. So in the end, I wake up with a nice face. Not bad at all. I just don’t know if I don’t use air con, will I wake up with a nice face or will it be on the oily side.
Both moisturizers are cooling upon application. It’s refreshing. Wouldn’t bother with buying them, but I don’t mind more samples to bring for overseas use.
With pure lemon essence, it smells lovely. Easily blend onto the skin. At first it feels weird as you feel that there is something on your face. Eventually you are used to it. It gives off a dewy/glossy finish, which is not something I like.
For a peeling cream, it’s suppose to peel your skin? Upon extra googling research, I found that it actually suppose to peel off the dull skin and remove dark spots while you are sleeping. So when you wake up, you are suppose to have whiter skin.
In the morning, my face is visibly brighter. A least that’s what I feel. It wasn’t oily which is good. I guess it’s better for oily to normal skin. You have to use it for 28 days to really see the result(reduce dark spots, fairer skin). But I only managed to use this for 10.
Overall, I do like this but not enough to buy the full size. I feel there are better night cream out there.
Eucerin. Expensive drugstore product.
Active concentrate. Is ok, really nice. Dry very quickly and gives face a really smooth finish. I really like it. Brighten my face too.
Hydrating care. For oily. blemish-prone skin. Acts effectively against skin blemishes. Mattifies & refines the skin’s appearance visibly.
This hydrate the skin but does not mattify. I do not really like it.
Active night care. It states that it will visibly reduces blemishes in 3 weeks. But a sample is used within a day. So no prove to test that out. But it’s really thick and just a little is needed to cover the whole face. I feel my face looks cleaner too. Overall it’s a good night cream.
Cleanser. It is alright. Tried the normal one before, did not fall for it. So never repurchase it.
