Happy new year everyone. I will start this year with a post on my night time skin care regime.
I will start with makeup wipes. I bought this in Daiso. Daiso has so many different type of makeup wipes and I will eventually try them all. For $2 I start with this wipes. It kind of remind me of wet tissues. It is really wet, so if you use this in air con room, it’s really nice and cooling. The wetness is good for removing makeup including waterproof mascara. I really like that, unlike wet tissues. It comes in 30 sheet per box, really nice for a monthly wipes.
Then I will wash my face with Cle De Peau Creme Demaquillante, which is basically a cleansing cream. I really like it. It removes makeup really well. If I forgot to use the wipes, I will just use this and it removes my makeup just as well. This doesn’t hurt my eyes, so it’s really good to get rid of waterproof mascara. It leaves my skin soft without needing to use actual cleanser.
After brushing my teeth and stuff, I will use Nuxe Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Petals to tone my skin. This smells amazing. The rose is not that strong, but rather lovely. It feels nice on the face. Very gentle and refreshing.
I will use Nuxe 24h Soothing and Moisturizing Cream next if I am super tired. But most of the time I will use this after eye cream. This moisturizer is indeed very soothing. It has this scent that calm you. At first I don’t really like it, but eventually I fell in love. It is thick but blend really easily. I like that. It’s not overly oily on the face, and it’s great for night time as when I wake up, my face will be really refresh. The moisture is all absorb into the skin.
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair was my night serum. The first time I use this, I woke up with a super awesome glowing skin. It lasted only a day as the next day my skin is back to normal. And eventually I started breaking out around the forehead and cheek. After much analysis I figured this was the culprit. True enough. Though it was only a sample, I felt I had to finish it. So I just use it once a week. Except on that first day, I don’t think I see a difference with my skin. So this is a no for me, but I know many people love it. Oh the scent is also quite off putting. Exactly of herbal scent, the unpleasant kind.
Estée Lauder Re-nutria Eye Creme is used after serum. This is really rich and only a tiny amount is needed each time. I was frustrated with my black under eye, I used to lather this on. I then found out milia was growing. Upon research I found out that I used too much eye cream. And so I found that this is a really good rich eye cream. This is 15ml and will last forever, but the lifespan of eye cream is 6 months and its in a container so better follow that guideline.
So cleanse, tone, serum and moisturize, the next step is to use mask. Those sheet masks at least.
I had been using Sexy Look Intensive Firming Duo Lifting. As you can see, the hole for the eye is rather tiny. At least the right one is. It is extremely uncomfortable. I don’t have a problem with the blue one. And all the masks in the box is the same. So maybe I got a bad box or it’s like that. This mask is moisturizing even though I only leave it on for awhile, not the full 15 minutes. So that’s about it.
After the mask, I will use acne cream if I have spots and lastly I will apply a lip balm.
When they tell us that we will be getting something pink, I was excited. I like all things pink. My box is pink, the card is pink, but other than that it wasn’t as pink as I would have hope.
First up, theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter. I was so delighted when I saw this in the box. Two months ago, I got the Hot Mama instead and was feeling quite disappointed. Cause I heard so much rave about this highlighter. True enough it so soft and pigmented. The powder is really smooth, another product I will love touching for sure. But its so small, I don’t want to hit pan on it. I like the sample size, its just cute and compact. Love the magnetic closure. Love it better than Hot Mama. Hot Mama is not as smooth to the touch. And look at the color, its gorgeous. One down side, I do not have pointy nose, so putting it down my nose, just make my pores seems so much more obvious.
Next, La Clinica Gly C Refine Micro Dermabrasion facial Exfoliating Scrub is a harsh scrub. The micro-demabrasion is so tiny and feels like soft sand. It really does feel refine, however when you wash your face, it is very harsh.
Indio Cosmeceutical Renew Cream is a night serum. It is said to be anti-aging cream designed to soften the face. At first when I put this on, there is a slight tingling. It said to be expected. So I wasn’t concern about it. It also said to use for a period of 6-8 weeks. So with this 10mL sample, I wonder how to achieve that promised skin. Besides, I really hate the scent. It’s like a sour smell that linger. I can’t sleep, and my hands smell as bad. From the tube it is just like any other face cream scent, but after awhile, the sour smell emerged. It’s oily on the face, but when I wake up, it seems that it has all been absorbed. So its quite nice. But the scent. Ugh!
Vaseline Healthy White Perfect 10 I had this sample before. So it was kind of disappointing getting this. Plus it doesn’t look it was the full 25mL. I already did a review of it here.
Sugar and Butter lip polish. It’s just nice as I finished my lip scrub. I got mine in Vanilla Latte. The scent is lovely, remind me of coffee bread with a hint of cinnamon. The scrub itself its gentle, so not really a big fan. Wish Formula Jjoyy Bubble Peeling Pad is so fun to use. I really enjoy using it. Now I feel like getting a proper wash cloth. Its a powder puff but filled with soap. It cleanse the face really well. My foundation get removed so easily. They say you need to so call exfoliate your skin in a 28-days cycle. So I guess if using this once a month, it should be fine. Cause for $6.50 per pack, it can get pricey if you use it daily. Dr Morita Eye Mask is like a normal mask. Instead for the whole face, its for the eyes. Maybe a bit of puffiness disappear, but I wasn’t so sure. It doesn’t feel any special.
Lastly, I got this Recoliv Beauty Collagen which is a unique blend of German collagen, French olive and red grape extract. It claimed to be pleasant in taste and conveniently packed. I can tell you I had a hard time tearing the packet open and it taste really bad. I don’t know, I just hate it.
So yah. That’s what I got in my September Bellabox and for the first time, I tried it all before the month end.
Treatment serum for uplifting days is rather sticky. It’s just a normal cream like texture. Not a fan, as I said its sticky. Takes sometimes to dry. So not really good for my routine. Totally different from the night serum. It leaves me shiny too.
Treatment serum for volumizing nights. LOVE IT!
It feels like a solidified gel oil. But once it’s gone it’s gone. As in it doesn’t leave behind residue unlike oil. It’s so unique, really fun to put on. My skin feels really smooth. It leaves my skin looking matte. The best part was, I woke up with a clean, non oily skin. Totally matte. But I did sleep with a bit of air condition. I have to get another sample and test it out before committing to this.
My skin feels really moisturize that I did bother with moisturizer. It’s just really cool. Really loving this. I am 80% sure I will get it, once the rest of the night serum is gone. Cause even with moisturizer, I still wake up with semi matte face. It’s like the product is absorb into the skin. But ya the 20% will have to see if it works without air con. I probably will still get it though. The gel is really fun to put on.
Dual-action restoring cream for volume and lift. I find this as normal a moisturizer can be. Nothing that special about it. A bit thick, but blend-able. A little goes a long way. I don’t really get what the volume and lift does. But I don’t feel any difference using this.
A “targeted whitening” essence that zeroes in on problem areas like dark spots, acne scars, and visible pores.
How to: Use after application of lotion or essence mask. Apply an appropriate amount to the skin.
I usually use this after the night cream. I just use this at night. As the SA told me it is for night time. Then, when I check the website, it says that you can use it for both day and night. But I prefer night as day I prefer something with SPF.
It does help with the whitening of dark spots after constant use. But I do not know what will happen if you stop using it. It is quite thick but watery. Easy to apply and blend into skin. Instead of certain areas, I just like to put all over my face. I think I am wasting product. Oh well.
