I admit the beautyblender is still the best sponge I’ve used. The elasticity of the sponge is still the best in the market. Apparently the black one is targeted for bronze and tanner. I guess cause it is a darker shade. Personally I don’t see a difference between the pink and black.
The micromini is fun to have. I wouldn’t buy it myself. But it is nice. It is so small perfect to be put on the go makeup bag. I wouldn’t use it wet, cause it will just be very uck for the bag. But if you don’t bring it out. It is quite alright.
Blotterazi is quite a gimmick. I feel it is alright at removing oil from the face. But that is just it. It is like tissue. I don’t see the reason why you need to pay so much for this. It is just pretty to have in your bag especially with the casing. It is not included in this set though.
Overall it is a good set to have especially if you need extra sponge. I cannot remember how much I bought this for. But if I am not wrong, it is the cost of 2 beautyblender. So the rest are just freebies.
I just wanted to try this. I can’t remember who said that this was the best invention ever. So ya I just had to try it. It’s a blotting stick. A triangle 4.3g worth of product. It has a rotating knob at the bottom. It is small enough for the purse but I don’t know. I just don’t really love it. I still think a powder or blotting paper still works better.
Oh but one thing this works if you do not want to look very matte. This just gives off that fresh look. Like you won’t look oily anymore but also not matte. So it’s not so fake. If you prefer a dewy finish at least.
I won’t say it last for 6 hours, but maybe 3? So for the $39 price tag, this is not worth it in my opinion.
So I went for a few mini vacations this summer. Mostly to places where the sun is scorching hot. In other words, places like Singapore. I couldn’t be bothered with makeup, but I just brought along a few things.
I got this makeup bag for free with purchase of theBalm products.
This is my favorite powder. Cause it is small and compact and blue and looks super groovy. It’s the ZA Groovy Smoovy. This is not exactly transparent. It goes on a bit whitish on my face. But I just need to smooth it with my hand and I’m good to go. It takes off the oil and shine in my face. It goes on smooth and really light. Been loving this more as said to blotting papers, as it control the shine better. Plus it looks cuter, and not as gross when you touch up your face in public places(ladies room). It cost $17.90. So it’s on the pricier side with just a 5g(.17oz) worth of product. Oh, I do wish it came with a mirror. But I do go through these powders really quick.
I have only 2 MAC product to date. One is this and the other was the Studio Fix powder. People get puzzle when they know I love makeup but I don’t own any MAC product, especially the lipstick. Anyway, I love both powders I tried. One is a blotting powder, the other just a cover up powder. Before I used foundation, I just use powder to sort of cover my face in. I find that it stayed on my skin really well. The blotting powder is just a nice translucent powder that take away the shine on my face.
Eventually like all powders or product, you will hit pan. Now, this is where I do not like MAC. For both product, when I hit pan, I find that the powder tend to be dry. It became hard to apply. It goes on cakey. I don’t know what it is, but it just makes the powder bad. It’s like it touches water and it became really wet and hard. Really hard to transfer on the puff.
Don’t tell me it’s cause it is exposed to the metal of the pan, so the compact became unusable? Or am I just unlucky? Do anyone has this kind of problem?
So I have here 2 Gatsby oil control film. One is oil clear sheet and another is powdered oil clear paper. As you can see the difference is that one is powdered. I personally like the powdered one better as it can be use as a touch up. The oil clear one is basically just like the clean and clear one except its black in color. No major difference between the two.
The packaging of the two Gatsby one is rather different. Again I like the powdered one better. So I probably will just buy the powdered one when I ran out. I feel more refresh and clean using that. Well, cause you’ll be powdered and new again.
This is a primary school favorite. We used to have this in our bag all the time. Back then, it is one of the most popular oil control firm in the market. We just love that it is blue and compact.
This may be gross but it’s the truth. What we all love about it is that when we put it on our face, the sheet becomes more transparent. Like if your skin is more oily, the more it absorb the oil and makes the sheet clear. We just love seeing it turn transparent. Well it is not a good thing that your skin is that oily. But it is just fun seeing the change. I guess we all are just a bunch of weird kids.
Now even though we are far from the primary school kids, we still like the same thing. So, this product is just that good, that after 10 years, we still have it in our bag or at least for me on my make up table.
I like this. This is so cute. Work as normally as any blotting paper out there. But it is Winnie the Pooh, so it is beyond cute. The paper has pooh all around it. A bit more pricey than other blotter though.
