Dr. Wu Anti-Acne System Pore Clarifying Toner and Gentle Cleaning Gel

Bought this cause I wanted to something for my acne. I don’t know why but I’m still breaking out. Especially during that time of the month. It’s frustrating. Anyway the first few time using this, I don’t see anything. This doesn’t help. But the more I use the more it gets better. But of course I don’t use it constantly as I don’t stay at the same place. But I guess if I continue using this, my skin will be better.

The toner is pretty normal. The cleanser is nondrying. So it’s nice on the skin. It’s nothing special, I don’t like get excited using this. But it’s good enough for daily use. So the boring items are things I should be focusing on.

Lancome Blanc Expert Ultimate Whitening Beauty Lotion

I am not sure why but it seems that toners are failing me. I feel like they are not doing anything to my face. I can use pretty much the rest but toners, I can ignore it completely. Or at least with or without them, I don’t really see a difference.

I only have travel size toners or sprays one now. Spray toners are good as they are convenient. While the small one is good as I’m more diligent on my skincare during holiday.

This one in particular is suppose to be a whitening one, maybe that’s why doesn’t really suit me. I don’t really enjoy using this. All I feel like I’m doing is wasting the lotion away. Granted the bottle is pretty, but the lotion is nothing to take note of. So it’s just not for me.

Clinique Anti-blemish Solutions 3-step System

They say to keep using this and it will eventually give you less blemishes. The first couple of weeks, these actually break me out. Well I have like a spot on each side of my cheek. It’s just the weirdest thing. I continue to use them though cause I don’t want to waste them. I got these at $39, so you know that’s money.

The cleanser is a foam, I usually use 2-3 pumps cause I find that it’s quite little. I’m sure a pump is enough, but I don’t feel comfortable with just a little foam. It cleanse alright. No squeaky clean feel. So it’s quite nice.

Clarifying lotion is ok. There will always be a layer of white settling on the bottom of the bottle. Not sure if I have to keep shaking the toner before use or something. The white residue should be the anti-blemish solution. Anyway, the toner is just ok.

The moisturiser is an all over clarifying treatment. Not sure if I’m suppose to use a moisturiser after, but I just take it as this is it. It’s a nice texture. I like it.  It appears quite oily at first, but eventually it settles and my face will look matte. So it’s a good moisturiser for anyone with oily skin. It gives me the hydration without my skin feeling oily. Also, I think this works on my skin as after the spots on the cheeks disappear, my skin actually is quite clear. Except on those hormonial time.

So all in all, I’m quite pleased with the set. Plus it’s a good set for travelling too. I wouldn’t buy the full size though. I just don’t feel as excited using these as I should. I’m sure there are other products that I will rave more.

A’kin Hydrating Mist Toner

I’m still loving all kind of mist. This is a toner, but I used it mostly to refresh my face or spray it before I go to bed. The thing about this is that the spray doesn’t really cover the whole face. The mist is gentle enough. But I have to spray a few times round my face to really get all around. I don’t know, when it comes to spray I have to feel the wetness to feel that it’s on my face. If not I won’t be satisfy an will spray on more. So I think that’s kind of redundant.

It’s best to close your eyes another 5 seconds after spraying. The droplets will settle on the face a bit late. When you open your eyes too early, it will get into the eyes and it burns. So that’s the bad thing.

But yah, this will hydrate and tone the face. For refreshing, it’s not so much. But it’s still quite nice on the face. It’s not extremely cooling, it’s just makes your face feels slightly less sticky. So it’s not bad. It’s just convenient to use a spray.

Photo Finish Primer Water

Any spray will sure will get on my list, the same with this primer water which is $52 for 116ml which is really crazy. To me, this is a toner and primer; also a mist. So, take it as a skincare product, it’s quite alright. At least that’s my excuse. Anyhow, I like the spray but I don’t really use it. I don’t feel joy using this, unlike Fix+ or Beauty Elixir. So I don’t tend to reach for it often.

I also not sure how good this is in term of locking makeup. I only that this is refreshing. It helps moisturise the skin without it feeling heavy. I guess it’s just a good facial mist. But then, it will be better when it comes in a travel size.

I wouldn’t recommend this. But maybe cause I have way too much facial sprays around. I’ll update again if I have a different opinion on this.

CdP Gentle Balancing Toner

This is quite fine actually. It’s light and gentle. It doesn’t break me out. It’s not too heavy but it can be used for cold dry weather. It gives your skin a little hydration. So it’s nice. It’s refreshing. I wouldn’t buy the full size. I don’t see the point, but it’s nice to have samples.

boscia Clear Complexion Tonic

Kind of always wanted to try boscia cleansing product. But this is the one I had from the Sephora Gold member gift. I like anything spray. It’s convenient and perfect for my laziness. This is a tonic, so I’m assuming a toner. Which the description did say to use after cleansing in the AM and PM. I also can use this to refresh my skin. So that’s nice too.

It’s not overly sticky. But after spraying you can feel a bit of essence on the skin. The spray is very strong. Even though the bottle is tiny, the nozzle is powerful. Therefore, one spray is enough. But I like to spray at least twice or thrice. Sometime even 4 times. Since its powerful, it’s not a fine mist. But it doesn’t make your face overly wet. So the droplets dissappear on your face rather quickly. I like it. So easy to use. Love it. It’s small good for travelling.

Lancome Renergie Multi-lift Gel in lotion

This is quite nice. It’s a gel. But it turns watery once you rub it in. I like the consistency. But this break me out I think. I just suddenly have a pop here and there. So this might be the culprit. But it’s nice. A nice lotion. Quite hydrating, so it’s good for dry skin.

Medicated Sekkisei Lotion and Emulsion

I was given these and I have no idea what they were. The formula feels like serums. I am not sure if both are the same or different. I take it that they are different. And upon researching I think one of them is a lotion (right) and the one with the pump is a moisturiser. I may be wrong, but the moisturiser is slightly thicker.

I don’t really want to talk about these as I am not 100% certain what they are. But these doesn’t really break me out. So it’s not bad. Oh well, I just want to have this up on this blog cause I want a memory of this.

pai Perfect Balance Discovery Collection

This is a good way to try out the brand. But this set, is not exactly cheap. I can’t remember how much I got it for, but I think it is over $35.

A handy wash bag and organic muslin cloth.

The cleanser is alright. Not a big fan of it. It is better as a makeup remover, where you apply it on your dry skin and remove with cotton pad. The muslin cloth is quite rough. I am not sure if the texture is suppose to be such. But it is nice to have an extra face cloth and I always wanted a muslin cloth.

The toner is my fav as it is a spray. It is just so convenient to apply as a spray. The smell is a bit weird though.

Moisturiser is for day. Not sure why. I don’t see any declare SPF. But it is a fast absorbing cream indeed. I like it as a day moisturiser. It dries fast, and my face will not be super oily after. As long as I use a good sealing powder that is. Overall, it is an okay set. I wouldn’t exactly buy the full size though.
