I got this ages ago. Basically to compare the difference between this and MUA palette. But this is the dupe for Naked 3. I don’t have Naked 3 so I can’t compare them. But I’m loving the shades enough as they are very rosey and golden. It’s a good combination of matte and shimmer shade. A good balance of warm and cool tone. The shadows are pigmented, and not much fallouts.
Now I’m not a big fan of the layout of shadows. It’s long and narrow and I find that it’s so hard to use your finger to get the shadow. It’s hard to tell if the shadows are soft or smooth. But really for £4, I don’t have the right to complaint.
So in term of the way the shadows are layout, I still prefer MUA. But I find that MUR are a bit more “clean”. Like after using, the shadows are all still in tact. Unlike MUA palette, where I found that the shadows after you use them, will not be as even on the pan. I don’t know how describe it, but MUR is slightly better. I wish I had a better comparison in term of the actual shades, but I rather not have so much of the same shades in my collection.
But yea, if you are in the UK, should grab some of this.
I just realized I only have 1 dark red. Well not really, I’m sure I have more in my collection. Then I have shade 8, which is the shiny one. It’s a glittery but not so obvious. More of a maroon, but still considered red. Then shade 13 is technically is the same as MUR Lady. It’s quite a cherry kissed red. Both texture the same, wear the same, last the same. MUR Dare is a matte red. It’s the same MUA matte in Scarlet Siren. Both are a cherry red. Doesn’t swatch as beautifully as the others but still MUR Dare is still my favourite as it’s the easiest to apply. I feel all these are easy to apply. Don’t need any lip liner. Plus they all kind of stain the lips, sort of. So it’s just a good, inexpensive, daily red lipsticks.
Once you are comfortable with red, you will forever wanting to wear red. I’m loving this brighter red from Makeup Revolution at the moment. It’s just brighter and more bold among my reds. Easy to apply, last forever and not drying. It’s another beautiful lipstick to use on a day to day basis. I mean it’s great as a night out too obviously. But the price of this lipstick just makes it so much more comfortable to apply daily. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I rather use cheap product daily and use the expensive ones for special occasion only. A bit silly. But that’s me.
The different between MUR Dare and Lady is that the former is matte. Dare also seems less pigmented. But in person, it is not. Plus you can always layer it. My lips are pigmented enough so it won’t seems like it’s not red enough.
Lady just makes you feel like a lady. I always thought that it will be difficult to pull off as it’s more warm. But it’s actually really classic, bright, bold and pretty. It’s ladylike. It’s feminine. It’s powerful. So in love with red.
But yes I only wear them when I’m not working. Teehee.
After a lot of raves from the internet, I had to grab MUR. I bought the Iconic 3 eyeshadow palette and some lipsticks. I just had a weakness of the moment, and I bought a whole lot of lipstick. However I only tried one. This is in the shade Dare, a suppose to be bright red. It is a matte shade, and surprisingly easy to use. I do not need to use lip liner at all. I guess that is why I love it so much. I really love it. It is just so pretty on the lips. I am a bit crazy for red at the moment, but it can be a hassle to apply. So this is one that I’ve been reaching for all the time, cause it is just so easy.
From the picture it looks more of a pinkish red. And yes from some lighting it does appear that way. However most of the time, it looks red. It is not as pigmented as I thought it would be. But it can be layered, so it will be more pigmented. I really feel my photo don’t do justice to this lipstick. It is just a daily easy to use red lipstick that is quite long lasting. Plus it is matte, so it is nice. It is comfortable on the lips. Doesn’t really transfer on the glass. I am kind of going around with this review. I just have nothing to say except everyone should have it.
