Jojoba Charcoal Facial Scrub is an average scrub. It’s very gentle, but I am not a big fan of. It doesn’t do anything for my face and I fear this is the reason I am continuing with my breakouts. Not that I can control it, but this may be the culprit.
Charcoal Detox Deep Pore Gel Cleanser is a bit better. It’s a gel so it’s super gooey and it’s black. It cleans make up off but in term of deep pore cleanser, I just don’t feel it. So a bit blah.
So much raves on the Michael Tood products and yet I don’t think they are good. I’d tried a few things, they re just average. Or maybe it’s just my skin. Anyway, it must be working of people are still buying. I guess it’s just not for me.
It just so happen that avocado is my favorite fruit and mango is my second. I just had to right. This smells so good that its really fun to put on. This year is not a good skin year, I used so much pimple cream, that my skin became so dry. So moisturizing is really important for me. I tried a lot of masks, but I really had to give it to MT just for fact that I love the mask without even using it. But I mean really, it is a good mask.
A hydrating facial mask that restores skin’s youthful appearance. It is really hydrating. And it is not a thick mask. Just apply and wait for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off. I can’t remember how much I bought this for but it is not crazy expensive. It’s just a bit hard to get hold off in Singapore.
I’ve been sharing this cleanser with my sister. To be honest I asked her to use this cause it doesn’t do much for my skin so I just want it to be finish ASAP. The product, the color, really reminds me of honey but less sticky. The scent is alright.
People always talk about MT and how amazing their products are especially for acne prone skin. But seriously, it doesn’t help me at all. It doesn’t help my sister too. It is not a harsh product; also not a product that I feel can clean your pore. It just feels like it cleans only on the surface. It is good as a makeup remover, which it did said that it removes makeup, but that’s all I feel it does. I mean sure my face feels clean after but I feel that it is not a deep cleanser. And I still have the occasional break out so this definitely doesn’t do much for my skin.
Ugh, I look weird in this photo. It is like my forehead sunk.
Anyway, I’ve been trying out the Kaolin Clay Detoxifying Facial Mask from Michael Todd. It said to be extra absorbent for oily, combination and acne-prone skin. So I think this mask is perfect for me.
It has quite a weird smell. I cant put my finger on what scent it is, but it is not revolting, just not pleasant either. The texture is quite like a gel. So it is nice to put on all over the face. It is quite translucent and thin, doesn’t irritate my skin.
It says to put on for 10-15 minutes, but I find that only after 15 minutes or so, it started to harden. I will then find it hard to smile, which of course I will, as I just like to see the mask cracking. Therefore I will leave the mask on longer than the stated timing.
Washing out the mask is quite a tedious work. I use warm water to wash off. It will get all soft and leathery like a facial wash. I then have to keep rubbing my hands around for awhile for it to be gone. It takes time, but it’s worth. My face will be so soft after. It’s just so “bouncy” like those facial wash commercials; the way they demonstrated the softness of their face.
So I really like the after effect. Therefore, I will recommend this mask to anyone with oily or combination skin.
After lots of amazing reviews on YouTube, I finally get my hands on Michael Todd. Is it as amazing? No. I finished this scrub, cause for some reason I always pour out more than necessary. It is quite a watery texture. Is like the scrub has been contaminated with water. Anyway, the scent is kind of weird too. It is tropical, and I’m sure some people will like it, but I just can’t stand it. I tried to like it, but I failed.
The scrub itself is not harsh but it’s quite chunky I guess. I feel it is more of a cleanser with particles than an actually scrub. It just doesn’t do such a great job as other scrubs I tried. I also have a feeling that this break me out. But I just can’t be sure. So overall I am not a fan.
